Anyone using a pregnancy body pillow before the second trimester?

Hey everyone,

I’m currently in my first trimester and already starting to feel a bit uncomfortable while sleeping. I’ve heard pregnancy body pillows can really help, but I’m wondering if it’s too early to start using one. Has anyone here started using a pregnancy body pillow before the second trimester? Would love to hear your experiences or recommendations!

Hi Jessica!

Absolutely not too early at all!
Many people start using a pregnancy body pillow in the first trimester — not just for physical support, but also to help build healthier sleep positions (like side-sleeping) early on. Even if your bump isn’t showing much yet, your body is already going through changes that can cause discomfort: sore breasts, bloating, or just general fatigue.

A pregnancy pillow can:

  • Support your hips, lower back, and knees** to ease pressure
  • Encourage side-sleeping, which is recommended later in pregnancy
  • Help reduce tossing and turning, especially if you’re already feeling restless

Lots of expectant moms say they wish they’d started using one sooner. Go for it — your sleep comfort is important at every stage! Comfort is Key
