Hi, I am a 67 year old man. I work out 5 to 6 days per week. I do 1 hour & 10 minutes on the treadmill at a brisk pace. I generally feel well. I just had excellent results from a Nuclear Stress Test. I just started wearing a Samsung Galaxy 7 watch. It’s telling me my blood oxygen during the day is 95% to 100%. When I am sleeping 79% (for a few minutes) to 100%. I am reading if my blood oxygen goes below 88%, I should go to an emergency room immediately. I feel fine. No chest pain. No shortness of breath. My heart rates jumps to 106 for the few minutes when my blood oxygen is at 79%. I would love your thoughts. This is stressing me out. Thank you, John

Hi John,
The best course of action would be to schedule an appointment with a doctor to address these concerns. I can’t give medical advice, but the blood oxygen dropoff sounds like sleep apnea, so I would at least try and get a sleep apnea test. A lot of people experience sleep apnea without symptoms such as shortness of breath and chest pain.
Important to keep in mind that a Samsung Galaxy 7 watch is not a medical device that doctors use, and isn’t necessarily accurate. So if you feel fine, I wouldn’t panic, but again best to let a doctor determine what to do.
