Hello! My baby is 4 months and exclusively breastfed. He’s done some back and forth between sleeping all night or needing 1 midnight feeding. At the moment, he is having difficulty falling and staying asleep at all. He sleeps with a binky (that im trying to remove) and needs constant reassurance from me.
Also, unfortunately, my baby sleeps in the same room as his 2 year old brother, who is usually a very good sleeper. He even sleeps through most of baby’s crying. However, I tried the ferber method and baby ended up screaming bloody murder around visit 3.
I put him down drowsy, no binky, he sleeps for 30 minutes. He cries, I wait 3 mins, I confort him, no binky, he sleeps for about 20 minutes. He cries, I wait 5 mins, he screams, I comfort him, nothing works, he screams and cries and I dont exist, nothing calms him, I give him binky, he calms down enough to realize mom is here, falls asleep. During this time, it says I should limit my visits to 1-2 minutes, am I supposed to leave even when hes screaming? What if while im waiting he wakes up his brother and it ends up in a chain reaction and no one in the house sleeps?
