My wife has sleeping issues and wants me to sleep a bit upright!

Hi. I have never had problems with my sleeping regime, but my wife does. I snore and have been attended by a sleep expert. The issue is solved for me. But my wife cannot sleep even if my snoring has diminished (she has hiperacusia and tinnitus, so she hears even through titanium earplugs). She has even suggested that I should sleep almost sitting. I do not think that is a good idea because I relax only by lying. I know that my snoring is due to my tongue relaxing at sleeping times. Upright sleeping will not help me stop snoring, because snoring cannot be eliminated 100% according to every doctor I have consulted. As I am a scientist, I would like some advice on scientific literature that could help me tell my wife (she is a scientist, too) understand that snoring cannot be eliminated and that sleeping upright is not going to solve it. Thanks.
