Two years in to my journey

I am now almost two years into my journey with a CPAP machine, and things are not going well. I have only slept the entire night once with the device, and it required a lot of trazodone. I usually only get about 45 minutes before I subconsciously, in my sleep, rip the mask off. I am not able to fall asleep without a lot of medication if I am wearing the mask. Does anyone have any advice? I am tired :frowning:
My doctor is not much help. He just keeps giving me larger doses of pills, but it is not helping the root cause.

I’m so sorry you’ve not been sleeping well. I don’t need a CPAP machine but have had a hard time sleeping well in recent times. All I can offer is what I’ve done. I keep regular wake time and go to sleep at the same time. I take 10 mg doxepin 30 mins before I go to sleep and then 300 mg gabapentin 15 mins before. I try not to drink too much fluids after 7 pm. These have helped me. I hope you sleep better. All the best.
