6 month old baby sleep

Hi. My bub is now 6 months 0 weeks old and we have has broken broken sleep for the past 2 months. Ive tried to summarise below;

  • baby only contact naps during the day. Extremely hard to put down and even if i succeed (5% of the time) she wakes within 10mins. The effort put in and the over tired baby from lack of sleep is not worth it so we just contact nap.
  • was able to pram nap until she hit the 4 month regression. Now this is a long lost dream.
  • Most night’s she sleeps for 30~60mins before whining for help. We wait a few minutes before helping. We try to soothe her back to sleep in the crib (works if we go in earlier, maybe 70% of the time). Other times she will start smiling and playing with the hand doing the patting, or she will get frustrated that we are here but not picking her up so starts crying
  • on a “good night” she will do the ~hourly whine until about 11pm and start to do 3hr stretches of sleep before waking for a feed.
  • on a “average night” she will whine/cry 1-2 hourly. You soothe / pick her up, shes sleeping within a minute. You put her back down.
  • on a “bad night” she will whine/cry so you soothe / pick her up. Bit of resistance to go back to sleep but you manage. Put her in the crib. Either waking up crying as youre putting her down or 5-10mins later.
  • she repeats the pattern the entire night (whichever option she chooses) ans at around 5am gets even harder to put to sleep and crib is impossible to get her in asleep so we usually end up cosleeping.
  • baby is very active and curious about the world. I rarely see any sleepy cues from her (and neither have others).
  • she is the type of baby that when she geta crying will progress to becoming hysterical and will stop breathing or vomit.

Open to any ideas.
