Hi, Thanks for sharing your experience - that sounds rough, I’m so sorry your going through that. Frequent nighttime headaches can definitely disrupt sleep and leave you feeling drained. A few things people have found helpful:

  • Hydration & diet: Sometimes dehydration or low blood sugar can trigger headaches at night. Try drinking water before bed and avoid heavy meals or caffeine too late.

  • Sleep environment: Ensure your pillow and mattress support your head and neck properly—poor alignment can contribute to tension headaches.

  • Relaxation routines: Gentle stretching, deep breathing, or a short meditation before bed can sometimes reduce tension.

  • Caffeine timing: It’s tricky because caffeine can help you feel awake temporarily but may also interfere with falling back asleep. Some try to limit caffeine after early afternoon.

  • Medical check: If this is happening multiple times a night regularly, it might be worth talking to a doctor to rule out things like migraines, sleep apnea, or other underlying conditions.

Would love to hear if anyone else has experienced this and what strategies worked for you :light_blue_heart:

I have headaches that keep me awake. They are usually caused by my continual sinus drainage (since I was 10 years old….80 years ago). One side or the other will plug up and begin pressuring my head. Usually I dont want to get up but try to go back to sleep even knowing that getting up and getting a Tylenol will solve the problem in 35 minutes and trying to get back to sleep will go no where . But I always try anyway…hope springs eternal………

Are they just headaches at night?

Do you have sleep apnoea?

What’s your pillow like ie neck posture

Do you have any more red flag signs like pins and needles down your arms or vision changes?

Do you drink much caffeine during the day ie are you having withdrawal symptoms?

How’s your vision?

These are areas to address hopefully that’s helpful

A helpful treatment can be a hotpack that relaxes the muscles if it is muscular

Are you dehydrated ?

All the best in finding out why
