Hello, I’m female, 27 years old.
For years ive struggled with sleep. I’ll be awake all night and sleep all day. Sometimes it varies.
I’ll sleep for hours on end, still feeling tired when I wake up.
If I’ve been out the day before, I’ll sleep all day the next day.
My family try to wake me up but 9/10 I don’t remember. I fall back to sleep.
I’m desperate for help, it’s making my depression worse. Please can someone help me or offer advice?
I’ve tried magnesium, aromatherapy, sleep vape, CBD, sleeping pills, comfortable bedding, sleep masks, music, reading and more.
I have depression and Autism
I’m so sorry to hear what a difficult time youre having! I know firsthand that missing out on good sleep can induce depression. I had sleep apnea for a while before I even knew what it was. My mood plummeted! I didn’t care about anything and that’s scary because I had 5 young children. After I started treatment it was like night and day difference. I’m not saying you have sleep apnea, but it may help if you reach out to a sleep specialist. Firstly they can make sure you’re not having basic sleep issues. How I heard sleep apnea explained is you are either breathing or sleeping, you cant do both at the same time! Thats TERRIFYING! Also, are you currently being seen by a Dr for depression? There are many things they can do to help you. And also, when you’re awake, try getting some activity, even light exercise, yoga,or walking can help you release endorphins to boost your mood and get you tired for sleep. I hope you can find some answers to help you resolve your issues and that you’ll finally be able to get rejuvinating sleep!
