I believe my 13 year old has Rhythmic Movement Disorder. He has banged his head during sleep since he was 2 or 3 years old. His doctor said he will grow out of it. He hasn’t and it is now causing social and emotional issues. He has ADHD but is not Autistic nor Downs. His pediatrician told me at our last appointment that she has no treatment plan and therefore can’t help. He has gone to a camp for 5 years and they have told me that if he does not stop banging he can not come back. This camp is his world. He lives and breathes it. If he can not go back, it will devistate him. It will rock his world in ways that I don’t know how he’ll recover. This sounds dramatic but it is true. Please, someone help me help my child!!!
