Hi All.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post. For several weeks I’ve experienced numbness either during sleep or upon waking in my arms and hands. Yes, usually bilateral, although more severe in my right side. Today in fact, my right arm is still “asleep” mostly in the elbow area and in my right hand. Not only annoying, but when I fit]rst woke up, I was unable to completely close my fist. Even now, I’m still forcing it to close completely, but I don’t feel any weakness. Overnight the pain/tingling woke me several times.
I sleep on my back, arms at my side or on my stomach, having usually fallen asleep with my iPad still on my lap. I have been diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome, but with no treatment at this time. Well, I have had some shots at the base of my thumb. And I do have wrist braces to wear to prevent “wrist curling”, but I know I don’t do that. I’m going to dig them up and begin wearing them tonight just in case - anything to stop this!
Any thought would be appreciated. ![]()
