My resting heart rate during the day is around 50. My dips at night are as low as 35bpm. I have always had low resting HR and no side effects of bradycardia but it still frightens me. I sleep every night for over 8 hours , fall asleep in seconds to minutes and even if I get up to go to the loo any time between midnight and 7am I still fall straight back to sleep. But this new low dip to the 30’s over the past 3 months is making me scared to go to bed at night now. I am afraid of it going so low that I actually pass out or die. I’ve had all kinds of tests and no symptoms but telling me I’m ok does not help. I want to be normal, I want to have a higher night time heart rate that isn’t frightening. Everywhere I read m it says over 50 is normal.
I am 59 , mildly active on our hobby farm with horses , I have a healthy diet and am on no medication but do have high LDL my doctor is addressing due to me being reactive to statins and medication sensitivity to pretty much everything ![]()
I just don’t know how to not be frightened of sleeping , knowing my heart rate is going to dip so low every night once or twice.
